Last summer we had the pleasure of working with Brandy and Thomas, a local couple with a Country Chic wedding dream.
We started first with the Save the Dates. Brandy is an art student so she wanted to incorporate a sunflower that she drew. We were able to break the drawing down into two pieces (the head of the flower, and the petals) to print them in 2 colors for a more realistic look. Isn’t it lovely?
Next we created the invitations. Brandy wanted to keep the sunflower theme going because it would also be used in the cake, table decorations, ect. However for the invitation suite she wanted more of a border with curvy vines and lots of sunflowers. A really clever idea she had was for the two unopened sunflowers to be posed like they are about to kiss on the RSVP. For the stamps they chose the vintage seed packet stamps (my personal favorite stamp collection!) We used a pocket enclosure to hold all of the info cards. The rsvp envelopes were curry yellow, to help tie in the yellow ink. Every piece from Brandy and Thomas’ suite was letterpress printed on 320gsm Coventry Rag Vellum with Mia, our 1893 Chandler & Price platen press. Lastly we letterpress printed their thank you cards. We stuck with the Country Chic theme but this time we left out the sunflowers and snuggled up their new married name in moss green ink. While we’re based in Columbus, Georgia majority of our brides are located outside of the state of Georgia . We’ve even had the opportunity to create invitations for several international weddings!
