Featured on Style Me Pretty: Alexandra & Jacob’s Garden Romance and Rococo Elegance at Lowndes Grove
Bespoke Paper & Artwork: Dinglewood Design and Press | Photography: Rachel Maloney
We are beyond thrilled to share that Alexandra and Jacob’s full bespoke design invitation suite was recently featured on Style Me Pretty!
When couples commission a bespoke suite, they hand us their vision and let us handle the rest. We meticulously design and craft every element from scratch, giving you complete peace of mind while we bring your story to life. This stunning celebration at the historic Lowndes Grove in Charleston, South Carolina, beautifully highlights how we guide a wedding vision as it develops and flourishes throughout the planning process.
The Design Journey: From Black-Tie to Renaissance Romance
Alexandra and Jacob's design first began with a nod toward elevated Southern, black-tie sophistication, a classic, "Ralph Lauren-style" concept. As the wedding planning progressed and their vision naturally softened, we seamlessly shifted the design direction to reflect a deeply poetic, whimsical, and romantic aesthetic. Because Alexandra was an art history major, artful accents were her favorite design flair. We took care of channeling this passion into a cohesive layout, leaning entirely into the elegance of 18th-century French Rococo romance and the timelessness of the Italian Renaissance.

The Artistry in the Details
Drawing inspiration from the dreamy atmosphere of the venue and the breathtaking paintings of Jean-Honoré Fragonard, we designed a fully custom, multi-piece suite from the ground up. We curated, illustrated, and executed every element to introduce the thoughtful details of Alexandra and Jacob's love story:
-
A Hand-Drawn Venue Illustration: We created a whimsical, custom illustration of Lowndes Grove, which proudly debuted on their Save the Date to give guests an immediate glimpse of their beautiful celebration.

-
A Custom-Illustrated Monogram Crest: An elegant, traditional, and entirely bespoke crest that we illustrated from scratch to serve as a timeless heirloom and anchor the identity of the weekend.

-
Dramatic Fine Art Envelope Liners: Lined with stunning Baroque-inspired fine art to give guests a breathtaking visual experience the moment they open the envelope.

-
Illustrated Response Cards: Complemented by romantic, whimsical garden illustrations that carried the design theme seamlessly through each piece.

-
The "Mise-en-scène" Information Card: A deeply personal piece broken down into Act 1, Act 2, and Act 3. Labeled
Mise en scène, this layout served as a clever nod to their dog, Romeo, and their shared love of the theater.
A Cohesive Visual Thread
The custom-illustrated monogram crest we created became the central visual identity for the weekend, extending beautifully into the celebration itself. The bespoke artwork was featured across the day-of elements, appearing on cocktail napkins, matchbooks, and dinner menus to tie the entire aesthetic together perfectly.

Brought to Life via Letterpress
To give these swoon-worthy artistic details the depth they deserved, Alexandra and Jacob's suite was brought to life on our antique printing presses using double-thick cotton paper.
The deep, unmistakable impression of letterpress adds a beautiful, distinct depth to the detailed Fragonard-inspired illustrations and crisp typography. We took care of every step of the printing process, delivering a beautiful, physical keepsake that is entirely personal and perfectly reflective of the couple.
From beginning to end, Alexandra and Jacob’s wedding day felt incredibly intentional and heartfelt. With perfect early spring weather, a breathtaking waterfront setting, and a timeless southern design, their celebration felt both sophisticated and warmly personal, leaving them with a paper collection that will serve as a cherished keepsake and family heirloom. We are so grateful to the newlyweds for letting us take care of their wedding paper needs, to the incredible creative team who made this day a dream, and to Style Me Pretty for honoring this beautiful celebration.
