Our Story
Christy's journey with letterpress began in the winter of 2012. As a freelance designer in Columbus, Georgia, she was yearning for a creative outlet that allowed her to make something beautiful with her own hands—a welcome change from staring at pixels all day. So on a whim, she signed up for a letterpress holiday card class. The moment she saw her design come to life on paper, she was hooked. She literally jumped up and down with excitement! It was love at first press.
She was so enchanted that she immediately signed up for an 8-week intensive course in Atlanta to learn everything she could about this historic art form. At first, friends and family saw it as just another hobby. But her proficiency and obsession for letterpress grew, and soon she found herself with a 120-year-old printing press in her garage in the historic Dinglewood neighborhood of Midtown, Columbus —hence the name Dinglewood Design & Press! The rest, as they say, is history.
Christy's letterpress creations have traveled far and wide, reaching destinations like New York, Australia, Canada, England, Switzerland, and Brunei—to name just a few. Dinglewood Design & Press continues to thrive thanks to the incredible support of amazing customers like you.
And while the presses (we have six now!) have moved out of the garage and into a dedicated studio, Dinglewood Design & Press remains true to its core values:
